Hello! My name is Indira and I am an English teacher born and raised in Mexico. I have been teaching for 4 years and I was a teacher's assistant for 5 years before that. I love helping students achieve their educational goals and it gives me great pride when I see my students advance their skills. I can guarantee an excellent understanding and usage of the Spanish language since it is my native tongue. I look forward to working with you to get you to where you want to be!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before starting with the lessons, there is a first meeting. During this time together, we get to know each other and ensure we are a good fit for each other. We also discuss your needs and goals. It is important to evaluate where you are right now and where you want to get to in order to determine the timeframe and if it is possible within the time period we have available. Then, we can truly begin.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My mother was an English teacher for 20 years and I was her assistant (as well as other teachers' assitant) for 5 years before actually becoming a teacher myself. I have been teaching groups and individuals as well as tutoring for 3 years now and counting.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard pricing:
$25/hr for standard tutoring
$50/hr for certification preparation (i.e. TOEFL, Cambridge)
What types of students have you worked with?
I mostly work with adults but I have also worked with teenagers and older children ages 11 and older.
