As an semi-retired educator with 36 yearz of experience, I love helping students build confidence with math. My areas of expertise are 6th grade-Algebra 1.

I have a bachelor of science degree in mathematics with minors in computer science and general business. I have master of science degree in higher education with an emphasis in teaching mathematics. I have worked in an office setting for over a decade and I’ve been in full time classroom for over a decade. I love to help other learn and have prepared many students to succeed.

I love to teach and excite students in whatever they are learning. I began teaching in public schools when I was 22. I taught 3rd and 4th graders for 11 years in all subjects. I then stopped teaching when I had my first child. However, my children were homeschooled and I taught many different types of classes in a homeschool co-op. My main focus is on elementary age students in all subjects. However, if you have a group of students who would like me to teach a mini science class, I can do all ages! I enjoy coming up with new ways to teach a lesson, and I am passionate about my students.

I recently graduated from the University of Miami with a B.S. in Biology and have a strong background in biology, algebra, and related life science subjects. As a student, I sometimes needed to approach difficult topics from multiple angles before fully understanding them myself, which helps me better understand common student challenges and explain concepts in a patient and approachable way.

I have experience with teaching art classes and also have tons of art skills. I've been a published children's book illustrator since high school and have decades of experience in art. I'll definitely be able to help with a wide variety of mediums used for drawing or painting. Not only that, but digital art and design, too. My bachelor's degree is I graphic design, internet, & web development, but I've definitely taken a lot of advanced art courses as well and am a freelance artist.
