I am certified in Special Education and middle school math. I have been teaching for 22 years at the High School level and have co-taught in Geometry classes, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 classes. A few years ago, my principal asked if I felt comfortable being placed into an English 10 class. I was up for the challenge so I accepted. Over the past 22 years, I have written and implemented numerous IEPs for students diagnosed with many different learning disabilities. I am currently co-teaching three English 11 and two geometry classes. In the past, when my school had special education classes, I taught reading and English, but mostly math classes. I have a good rapport with all of my students, not just the special education ones. My philosophy is if you show respect, you will receive it in return. I would love to tutor Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 classes, and anything that comes before. Since the pandemic, I have seen the struggle that students are going through and patience is the key.
