Free consultation video conference, contract between tutor and tutee/parents to ensure commitment and safety, background checked and licensed teacher (will share my Educator ID# to show verification of employment and licensures once contacted), fully remote with flexible hours during the week/weekend, support during tutoring sessions and outside of sessions if needed.
Current Employment: Spanish Teacher of 12 years at the High School and Middle School level.
Education: Bachelors in Education and Spanish, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Endorsement in English as a Second Language.
Licenses: PreK-12th grade Spanish Teacher, PreK-12th grade English as a Second Language (TESOL) Teacher.
Areas of Expertise: Spanish and English language, Spanish and English Grammar, Spanish and English Linguistics, which takes me to Spanish speaking countries for studies, certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner.
What I offer: 1:1 tutoring sessions, homework help, test prep, practice materials and links that are available 24/7, essay writing help or proofreading, recordings of lessons or our tutoring sessions to rewatch later, professional communication between myself and their teacher (if requested)
Areas I can offer help: Spanish language (Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening), English Language (Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening), English Language Arts (reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary development, grammar/punctuation, analysis of texts, critical thinking about text)
My rates are a flat $35/hour or $20/30 minutes, regardless of what strategies we employ or help I provide. You only pay for my time!
Remote Tutoring: we will meet on Google Meet for ease and convenience (this allows for more flexibility). There is an option to graduate to in person tutoring once we establish a routine and connection that works for us.
