I am one credit away from earning my MFA in Film at Stony Brook University, where I was an adjunct professor teaching film for two years. I approach the role of professor/teacher/tutor very seriously, adapting how I teach to the student(s), and ensuring there is two way communication. Additionally I want each student to feel supported so they can focus on learning.

As a current college student with 4+ years of tutoring experience, all K-12 material is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. I have worked with a variety of ages, from kindergarten all the way to seniors in high school. I get to know each student individually as well as get to know their personal goals. I will provide quick, concise responses for those in a hurry, and slow, methodic teaching for those looking to understand the material on a deeper level. I have been an award-winning educator for over 50 years. I love the acts of teaching and learning and conversation and communication. I bring enthusiasm and passion to each session. I am now retired, but love to “stay in the game” through tutoring.

I’ve been an educator for 22 years. I obtained a bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Fordham university and I hold both a Master of Arts and Masters of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Those degrees are in Learning Disabilities and Educational Leadership respectively. I love seeing the growth of my students and look forward to supporting the needs of each students that I work with.
