Teaching is my life! I am New York state certified in Elementary and Special Education, Grades 1-6. I have taught in New York City for the past 14 years and have taught grades K-5 in the regular school year and grades 6-8 for summer school. Additionally I have taught adult education on Long Island (GED/high school equivalency) for the past 13 years in the evenings, so I have experience working with a variety of learners. Additionally I am a parent to a 6th grader and a 3rd grader and understand the daily struggles from the viewpoint of a student and a parent. I am able to help you with any subject area at the elementrary or middle school level and beyond. Hopefully I am a great match for you or your child!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I like to listen to him/her and provide them with exactly what they need. I would like to take a look at past assignments or tests they may have worked on and get input from their parents as well. If data from school isn't available I may use my own assessments to create a personalized plan for the student.
