Hello! I’ve been an ELA teacher in Lawrence for the last three years. Next I’ll be teaching humanities. I’m here to help students with whatever writing and reading needs they have.

I am the Founder and CEO of Honest Learning. We are on a mission to restore and renew American education. As the youngest of five siblings, I have spent much of my life learning from others and helping those around me in return. Having experienced both the receiving and contributing ends of tutoring, I understand how meaningful it can be to have someone who is patient, encouraging, and invested in your success. I started tutoring Algebra over the phone when I was in junior high, and I kept tutoring math through high school. My first job after college was as a high school math teacher and learning center math tutor. I have since taught art and worked in education more broadly. I also am an education researcher and am writing about mathematical processes. I love helping others find that appreciation for their own way of thinking, their own way of learning, that makes the most sense for them. Then, by understaning math in their own terms, they get to enjoy the cool parts of math their way.

As an incoming college student, who graduated high school with a 4.0, with straight A's in honors and AP classes as well as a long time member of writing center an organization to help highschool student write more coherent papers, I am well prepared to understand and break down new concepts into understandable pieces. I have helped students of various ages learn mathematics and improve writing abilities. And as a student with ADHD I have tips and tricks to help study better, as well as a non aggressive strategy to help refocus distracted students.
