Tutoring has always been a passion of mine since I was a teenager, I have been tutoring others for almost 10 years now. I always willing to help anybody who is excited to learn! Being well versed in K-8 subjects and material, I see it as my duty to help teach or guide the new generation in a positive, judgement free zone. Also, no matter what, I work patiently and only at the pace of the student (or students) I will not move forward if it is brought to my attention that the student still has questions or is unsure of what they are learning. I have successfully worked with children from the ages of 5 to about 14 years old, doing individual

I am an experienced math tutor with nearly 10 years of experience teaching all levels of math. I have worked with students in kindergarten all the way through college, and try to make math fun for everyone! I also have 5 years of experience as the Center Director of a math learning center, where I ran daily operations and also helped teach the students (all ages). I work full-time as an actuary, so it is safe to say I love math and passing that on to other students is always a joy! I believe I am very good working with the students because I try to use real-life examples that are relatable to them, and help highlight whatever topic we are wor

Stacey D. says, "Paul has been a great math tutor for my 12 year old daughter! Not only does he have a wonderful personality and put my very shy daughter at ease, but he stays in total contact with me to let me know exactly what they've worked on, where she needs improvement and what he thinks is the best plan of action. He's always upbeat and positive which works wonders for my daughter and her grades have improved since week 1!! I couldn't have asked for a better tutor if I tried. I am extremely happy and if Addy (my daughter) ever needs help in the future with her math, I know exactly who I'm turning too :)" Read more

Reviews for Wilmington math tutors

Paul is the best! He tutors my 11 year old daughter with her 6th grade math. My daughter has struggled for a few years now and it’s been so hard to find the right person to really help her understand her math, even family! When I saw Paul’s profile I just knew I had to give him a shot. From day one it has been a total success! On the first call he even managed to make her feel comfortable in trusting him by giving her information on his background and why he loves to do what he does. He even went the extra mile and asked my daughter questions about herself and took interest in her and what she had to say. My daughter has had 4 sessions with him and already she has caught up on so much work as well as being able to solve more and more math problems on her own. We have gone over word problems, to decimals, multiplying and dividing and Paul has found a way to get through to her that makes her feel like she actually understands and confidence that she can do this. I strongly recommend that you give Paul a chance in helping turn your child’s worries around. Flexible hours and low price, what more can you ask for?
