With a good background in writing, one can communicate extremely effectively, express ideas clearer, and ultimately grow in both capability and breadth of skill. I'm a freshman of UNC Chapel Hill's Honors College, which accepts only 2.69% of those who apply to the university. I've written one novel currently in publication, and am writing a second. As a tutor I help each student reach their goals by tailoring the tutoring experience to every student's specific needs. Tutoring sessions typically consist of a review of classroom materials, an application portion, and a review of topics covered. Students also recieve note-taking and study strategies that will improve their ability to comprehend class materials on their own.
