I am a practicing attorney, a Yale graduate, and an aunt to 4 wonderful, curious children who have yet to stump me with their questions. I have a knack for explaining even complex ideas in simple, straightforward ways, and my favorite way to get kids to learn is to apply the new information and techniques to their existing interests. Whether in math, reading, English, or history, my goal as a tutor is to build a strong foundation in reasoning so that my students can gain the confidence to approach new problems without fear.

Truly, I have a passion for teaching chemistry to people. The subject is incredible, and it allows for someone to look at the world in a different way. I learned much in my schooling for chemsitry, and have continued to learn more since I have started a full time job. I am one who loves to share understanding and knowledge. As for tutoring experience, I have taught as a TA for general chemistry which includes tutoring, and I have helped many of my friends who must take chemistry as general electives in college. For qualifications, I have a bechelor's degree in ACS certified chemistry, a minor in biology and forensics, and I have taught many t...

Hi! I'm a local high school student with a passion for math, physics, and helping others learn. While I'm new to formal tutoring, I've spent years helping my friends understand math concepts and work through problems they were struggling with. I've also spent years babysitting, so I'm patient, encouraging, and know how to connect with younger students. I've consistently excelled in math, earning a 34 on the ACT Math section and a 5 on the AP Physics exam. I tutor elementary students in math and can also help middle and high school students with lower-level math and physics. As a current student, I understand that everyone learns differently

He truly cares about you understanding the material. He has his own notes that he shares with you to make sure you understand what you are doing. He also takes it step by step and asks you after each step if you understand it. He also will answer your questions if you text them to him outside of a tutoring session. He texted me pictures of the work, and when I didn't understand it still, he met with me during a time that we did not have set up to show me how he did it and did not charge me for that meeting. He truly cares about your success and is not just doing it for the extra money. I would recommend him to anyone needed a tutor.

He was able to help me by not only explaining the how, but the whys to my questions as well. He helped me with some matrix and Matlab homework that I was seriously struggling to understand. He was able to do so in a way that I was able to easily understand the problem itself and how to solve it in a very helpful and thoughtful way that I could easily relate to.

Dr. Amos Sundarsingh is an extremely smart professor. Dr Amos does not handout grades and he expects a full effort when it comes to learning. With that being said, I learned more from his class than I have in any academic course I’ve taken. I was able to gain a full understanding of what was being taught and also how to apply it in the field I’m studying. In addition to the knowledge gained, I also learned how to prioritize what’s important and time management. I’ve applied these techniques not only to school but also my everyday life and it’s impact has been positive in all aspects. I feel that I am fully prepared and have the more than enough knowledge to be successful in AP2 solely because of Dr Amos. I would recommend Dr Amos to anyone that wants to learn and is willing to give 100% effort!
