Hi, my name is Sylvia, and I can recite every line of the movie The Princess Bride. Also, I love working with students! The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a personal level, I am a friendly, outdoorsy, athletic, and talkative type of person! I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. I studied Economics at the University of St. Andrews and have been tutoring for 2 years. At SoFlo, we understand that Math and Science tend to build

I am a practicing attorney, a Yale graduate, and an aunt to 4 wonderful, curious children who have yet to stump me with their questions. I have a knack for explaining even complex ideas in simple, straightforward ways, and my favorite way to get kids to learn is to apply the new information and techniques to their existing interests. Whether in math, reading, English, or history, my goal as a tutor is to build a strong foundation in reasoning so that my students can gain the confidence to approach new problems without fear.

Hey, my name is Colin, and I love working with students. Fun fact: I can move my middle finger tendon without moving my finger. The most rewarding part of tutoring for me is when a new concept “clicks” with a student - their excitement is contagious, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them reach that point! On a personal level, I am a gamer, musician, and outdoorsy type of person! I partner with students on a one-on-one basis in STEM subjects through SoFlo Tutors, my tutoring agency. Club Z connected us with a very qualified tutor who connected and engaged my son in learning during a time when school work was low on his priority list. My son built a strong relationship with his tutor and was regularly exposed to new topics and teaching formats that kept him focused and productive.

Dr. Amos Sundarsingh is an extremely smart professor. Dr Amos does not handout grades and he expects a full effort when it comes to learning. With that being said, I learned more from his class than I have in any academic course I’ve taken. I was able to gain a full understanding of what was being taught and also how to apply it in the field I’m studying. In addition to the knowledge gained, I also learned how to prioritize what’s important and time management. I’ve applied these techniques not only to school but also my everyday life and it’s impact has been positive in all aspects. I feel that I am fully prepared and have the more than enough knowledge to be successful in AP2 solely because of Dr Amos. I would recommend Dr Amos to anyone that wants to learn and is willing to give 100% effort!

Kameron is a great tutor. He meets the student where they are and adapts to their unique needs. He is knowledgeable on high school subject matter, specifically geometry. I feel he is a great role model as well as a younger/closer to peer aged tutor. He is flexible with my sons busy sports schedule
