LDA Minnesota is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, families and the community affected by learning differences including learning disabilities, dyslexia, attention deficit disorders, and other learning challenges. Our knowledgeable team of tutors have advanced training and education in helping those who struggle with reading, math, writing, test-taking, study skills, and more. I specialize in supporting students in 6th-8th grade in reading, writing, study skills and oral expression. I tailor each lesson to their individual abilities, goals, and pace. What sets me apart is both my professional expertise and my personal experience. I am a licensed Special Education teacher with 9 years of experience helping students with diverse learning needs. I also understand the journey from a parent's perspective, as I am the mother of a child who has received services through an IEP. This gives me a unique understanding of the challenges families face and the importance of providing patient, compassionate, and effective support
