About

I love helping students learn! I have a Minor in Spanish Langauge and a Bachelors in Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and I am working on my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Michigan. I have previously worked as a preschool assistant teacher, worked as a nanny for children ages 5 and 8, and have tutored a college student who suffered a brain injury. I have diverse experience and I would love to help your child!

Considering children spend the majority of time at school, helping a child to gain confidence academically is so important. Getting to watch a child grow to be able to independently be able to do something that I helped them learn is the most rewarding experience!

Frequently asked questions

I love to take a session to identify opportunities and goals with the parent and student for our time together.  I am very flexible about how our sessions can be used.  This could look like time working on homework together, building a specific skill (like addition for example), or reading together.  With school disruptions over the past year, a little extra support for your student can go a long way!

I have always loved working with children! I left my business career in order to have a career that I can be primarily working with children.  I have lots of experience from working as a Safety Town instructor in high school to working in a preschool to nannying for a family with two children.  There is nothing more rewarding than watching your child grow!

I have primarily worked with students aged 3-5 years, but I love children of all ages and have experience with elementary, middle, and college age students.  I have also worked with children on the spectrum and with brain injuries.

I really like acknowledging the small wins!  Even something as small as pulling out the right materials to work on homework is an accomplishment and should be acknowleged for challenged learners.

I would ensure that the teacher has experience and is passionate to help children learn.

I think a student should think about what they would like to improve upon in school and why.  Often addressing the why around a student improving their academic abilities creates both buy-in and motivation for the student to succeed!
