I believe that being a current student allows me to relate to my tutees and use my own experiences to guide and improve my teaching. Something my best teachers have done for me is to show me how to enjoy a challenging subject. As a tutor, I hope to accomplish the same for my tutees. Even if something is challenging, it can still be enjoyable, fun even. Learning to enjoy what is hard is just as important as learning the material itself.

I love teaching and it has been my passion over the years. My classmates would often call me out for tutoring jobs and this has been one of my part time jobs during may college years I am a Civil Engineer and I love teaching students with Math subjects, I use to teach Algebra and Trigonometry. I can help them ace their examinations and teach them to love mathematics.

Giving students extra help

I teach English, Writing, Music (instrumental and vocal), Theater, Art, and History grades 1 through 12. I was a certified English, History and Fine Arts teacher in Massachusetts for over 30 years teaching in public school, private school for behavior challenged students and Performing Arts Schools. I have tutored students individually and in small groups as well as working with home schooled children in the creative arts.

I am knowledgable in the field and have plenty of experience teaching students of different grade levels. I enjoy working with students and seeing their face when they finally understand a concept they have been struggling with.

Multiple years of practical experience in translation and interpretation, having lived abroad in France and spent many years translating for Christian non-profits and ministries both in Europe as well as here in the Americas. A lot of experience with youth and family contexts, and familiar with making language learning a more comfortable setting for people.
