I taught English 15 years at Noble and Greenough school, mostly to juniors and seniors. I developed an approach to writing designed to address students' dislike of writing as meaningless hoop-jumping; instead, i think the creative apaect of all writing, even essays on literature, is essential. Finally, my hope is that every student recognizes the importance of his or her voice as unique, and that it deserves to be refelcted in writing. From the time I was 7 years old, I’ve wanted to be a teacher. I taught Sunday School all through high school. During that time, my parents opened our home to exchange students who were enrolled at the local community college and did not speak English. I spent 4 years helping them to decode their textbooks and enjoying every minute of it. I graduated from Elms College in 2001 with an BEd in Elementary Education and a BS in psychology.
