I have been an award-winning educator for over 50 years. I love the acts of teaching and learning and conversation and communication. I bring enthusiasm and passion to each session. I am now retired, but love to “stay in the game” through tutoring.

I taught English 15 years at Noble and Greenough school, mostly to juniors and seniors. I developed an approach to writing designed to address students' dislike of writing as meaningless hoop-jumping; instead, i think the creative apaect of all writing, even essays on literature, is essential. Finally, my hope is that every student recognizes the importance of his or her voice as unique, and that it deserves to be refelcted in writing. Having retired from teaching, I sit at home with my two newly adopted kittens, Pish and Brio, and spend hours writing. I couldn't be happier. I have been in the field of education for the past 7 years. I worked as a paraprofessional for 2 years prior to becoming a special education teacher. I am currently a special education teacher in Billerica and I work with high school students with disabilities. Although I work in a high school setting I have experience with elementary and middle school curriculum.
