My service stands out because of my dedication and patience when working with studens. Although relatively new to the field, I have experience working with a wide-range of learners and have been able to be successful in working with students, despite the challenges they face as learners. I most enjoy watching my students grow in confidence. Witnessing the evolution and transformation of my students into confident learners is extremely fulfilling. I taught English 15 years at Noble and Greenough school, mostly to juniors and seniors. I developed an approach to writing designed to address students' dislike of writing as meaningless hoop-jumping; instead, i think the creative apaect of all writing, even essays on literature, is essential. Finally, my hope is that every student recognizes the importance of his or her voice as unique, and that it deserves to be refelcted in writing. Having retired from teaching, I sit at home with my two newly adopted kittens, Pish and Brio, and spend hours writing. I couldn't be happier. I have been in the field of education for the past 7 years. I worked as a paraprofessional for 2 years prior to becoming a special education teacher. I am currently a special education teacher in Billerica and I work with high school students with disabilities. Although I work in a high school setting I have experience with elementary and middle school curriculum.

I am a charismatic, engaging teacher with extensive teaching experience with students ranging from age 4 to adulthood. I have taught ESL abroad to young learners and adults, and I currently tutor adults in ESL online.
