I have been in the field of education for the past 7 years. I worked as a paraprofessional for 2 years prior to becoming a special education teacher. I am currently a special education teacher in Billerica and I work with high school students with disabilities. Although I work in a high school setting I have experience with elementary and middle school curriculum.

My service stands out because of my dedication and patience when working with studens. Although relatively new to the field, I have experience working with a wide-range of learners and have been able to be successful in working with students, despite the challenges they face as learners. I most enjoy watching my students grow in confidence. Witnessing the evolution and transformation of my students into confident learners is extremely fulfilling. From the time I was 7 years old, I’ve wanted to be a teacher. I taught Sunday School all through high school. During that time, my parents opened our home to exchange students who were enrolled at the local community college and did not speak English.
