Tutoring by Mary provides individual and small group instruction in reading, writing and Elementary math’ I am a retired elementary special education teacher who is trained in using multi-sensory approaches with learning.

I have been an award-winning educator for over 50 years. I love the acts of teaching and learning and conversation and communication. I bring enthusiasm and passion to each session. I am now retired, but love to “stay in the game” through tutoring.

I'm a very easy going person, I will explain things at the pace they want it to be explained at. I will do an excellent job because I'm really good at helping people and adapting to their learning styles. I'm currently a college student majoring in philosophy.

My service stands out because of my dedication and patience when working with studens. Although relatively new to the field, I have experience working with a wide-range of learners and have been able to be successful in working with students, despite the challenges they face as learners. I most enjoy watching my students grow in confidence. Witnessing the evolution and transformation of my students into confident learners is extremely fulfilling. I am a current 5th grade teacher in Fall River. I have a Master's Degree in Teaching & Curriculum Instruction. My specialty is English. I can help with reading and writing standards for 5-12 grades. I especially enjoy writing and helping students organize their thoughts.
