I graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s in social work and have tutored a variety of students since. I work with students on study skills, executive functioning, and anything else on their (individualized education plan) IEP. I am a special education resource teacher in Overland Park, KS. I’m certified both in K-12 SPED and K-6 General education. I have worked as a tutor after school for about a year now but I’d like to grow the number of students that I’m tutoring each week. I’m currently working in getting my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction so I tutor to avoid taking out a college loan. I typically prefer elementary aged students but I am happy to tutor up to 8th grade (up to 12th if it’s for a student with special needs).
