Adaptive Academics is a small, local tutoring company serving students K-12 in math, reading, science and ACT prep. All of our sessions are in person and take place at local libraries. I began teaching when I was asked to teach 7th grade math. More recently, while preparing for a graduate program, I needed to update my transcript by retaking science courses that I had originally completed more than 30 years ago. During those classes, I found myself helping other students understand the material. Soon, classmates began asking to meet for review sessions, and before long I was leading tutoring groups that proved to be very successful.
