[INTRODUCTION] I’m a senior at Northwestern’s School of Education, minoring in Computer Science. I have 5+ years of tutoring experience for elementary school kids through college and adults. I’m also a soon-to-be elementary school teacher in August 2026. I enjoy designing effective learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles, from digital visualization tools to reflection activities to educational board games. I’m also a researcher who studies how emotions impact students’ use of learning strategies. I am a rising senior at DePauw University. I am a native Spanish speaker as well as an intermediate Mandarin speaker. I would love to help students learn as much Spanish and Mandarin as they desire.

I currently work as a Chinese Immersion Teacher at Campanelli Elementary School and Jane Addams Junior High School, Schaumburg, Illinois. While earning my Teacher Preparation Certificate, I gained extensive teaching experience in grades 7-9 at George Washington middle school, Alexandra, Virginia. I have over five years of experience as an in-person and virtual Chinese instructor in China and the US. My commitment to teaching and my passion for Chinese and American culture makes me uniquely.
