I am a mathematics and statistics tutor, teacher and researcher. My experience and expertise range from elementary to graduate students. My goal is to facilitate your understanding and learning of math or statistics by addressing learning styles over a broad spectrum. I am a Piagetian-Constructivist and believe the learning process begins and ends with a process of building upon your own knowledge and understanding. I believe this process allows you to succeed and experience the pleasure and satisfaction of learning mathematics and statistics. I have also been an advisor and consultant on numerous research projects.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and have taken many college math courses including Calc I-III, Advanced Calc, & Linear Algebra. I have experience as a substitute teacher in grades 1-12. Ever since I was in high school, I have fostered a passion for tutoring, particularly in mathematics. Furthermore, I am very qualified to do so-- I have just completed a masters in pure mathematics from the University of Cambridge (in the UK), and prior to that, I received a B.S. in mathematics, with honors, and a B.A. in philosophy from Wheaton College (IL). As a current college student with 4+ years of tutoring experience, all K-12 material is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. I graduated as the top student in Mathematics and CS at Southwestern University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at UIUC. I have experience tutoring young children to college students. During a one-year program at Northwestern University, I volunteered at their Math Circles program. There, I helped teach math in fun and interesting ways to five to 13-year-olds. I have a deep love for mathematics, and I hope can share it with others, or at least lessen the pain it can cause.
