Hi! My name is Daria, and I am an educator with hands-on experience helping students grow academically and build confidence. I specialize in breaking lessons down in a way that feels simple, patient, and encouraging. I love tutoring because I enjoy watching students go from confused or unsure to proud of themselves when something finally clicks. Working with me feels supportive, structured, and comfortable. I take time to learn each student’s needs, learning style, strengths, and areas for growth. What makes my tutoring stand out is that I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I adjust my teaching style so each student gets the hel

Please see the info I sent in my quote about my experience as an SLD teacher for reading and writing. The reason I went back to college to earn a degree in SLD and Reading was because I wanted to reach students in my high school English classes who could not read. What is disability in special education?

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) identifies 13 disability categories where special education should be provided.

  • Auditory Impairment (AI) – refers to a hearing loss not categorized by deafness.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) – mainly affects a child's social and communication skills and behavior.
  • Deafness – covers kids who can't hear most or all sounds, even with a hearing aid.
  • Deaf-Blindness (DB) – covers kids with both severe hearing and vision loss that requires unique programs.
  • Emotional Disturbance (ED) – various mental health issues such as anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and depression.
  • Intellectual Disability (ID) – covers disabilities such as below-average intellectual abilities, poor communication or social skills, and poor self care. One example is down syndrome.

I have 3 children and as a single dad, I do not have the extra time to sit down with my children as much as I would love to do so. The tutors they always send me are professional and friendly. My kids are doing great in school and always turn things in on time. The owner is very nice and friendly too.
