As a full-time data scientist with a master's in computer engineering and a bachelor's degree in mathematics, I bring years of experience in both theoretical and applied mathematics, data analysis, and programming. Not only are these the skills I put towards my own career but these are also the skills I have taught for years in various capacities both in private tutoring and as a teaching assistant at university, where I had great experiences with the students I got to work with. I take a principles-first approach where I emphasize developing intuition and understanding over copy-and-paste problem solving. This has not only helped me in

Nicole C. says, "Tino was the best tutor that I've ever worked with. during all of our sessions he was always encouraging, made sure to answer all questions, and got you involved in the lesson. Math has always been my weakest subject and a subject I didn't have much confidence in. However, after each session with Tino I started to gain confidence in the subject. If it hadn't been for Tino's encouragement and support I don't think I would've been able to pass statistics." Read more

Madison E. says, "Adam helped me for my intro stats course. My professor tried to explain everything with math which was very confusing. Adam helped taught me the concepts in plain English, and after that the math wasn't too bad. He's really good at coming up with real-life examples for different concepts in the class" Read more

He really knows what he’s doing and he helps me really understand pre-calc! He’s also really flexible with working around my schedule and can always cram in a session before I have a big test.

Mr. Ghassemi is a very great tutor. In fact, I would say that he is better than my teacher at school. The main reason behind this is because he goes in depth with the lessons and gives numerous practice problems, both MCQ and FRQ for me [student] to understand. He also gives detailed solutions to each one and works with the student had they got it wrong or simply do not understand. When a student simply does not understand, he is extremely patient and listens to their ideas and provides an explanation if their ideas are correct, if they are wrong he makes sure to delve deeper into the concepts that are required for the optimal understanding of that problem. He also makes sure you understand the concptual reasoning behind each question. Mr. Ghassemi is definitely highly qualified in both Maths and Physics. He spends a lot of time on his own apart from the one on one student session to work each problem out before hand and sometimes even provides multiple approaches or solutions regarding how to solve the questions. He helps with both preparing for the AP Exams as well as preparing for unit tests and homework given by the school. I would definitely recommend Mr. Ghassemi to anyone requiring a high quality tutor that gives high quality services!

Jamie is a phenomenal tutor. He is effective, knowledgeable, kind and thoughtful. My daughter needed a good bit of geometry catch up and support. Jamie’s work with her has translated into positive gains and we are very grateful to him!

I think he did a very great job. He asked me a lot of questions, and he broke down the stuff that I didn't understand. Sometimes, he might have worked out the problems before I could answer them myself, but overall he did great.

Dolores and I started working together my freshman year of college when I struggle with pre calculus and kept working together for the 3 following years as I had to take Calc 1 and 2 and linear algebra for my Computer science major. She’s the best teacher I’ve ever had, even better than my professors, and it was a blessing to be able to work with her all these years! Thank you so much Dolores »
