Hello, I was a full time teacher for 25 years. My last 15 teaching years were spent in an 8th grade classroom, teaching anguage arts. This encompasses reading & writing. Reading involves decoding and comprehension. The writing process involves understanding the writer's purpose, whether he/she is writing fiction or expressing point of view, explaining factual information or writing a letter.
