Hello! I'm a homeschooled veteran who decided to try his hand at tutoring. I really enjoy working at home and have experience teaching as a volunteer at my church and at boy scout camp. Right now I spent the last 10 years in higher education studying engineering and decided it wasn't for me. I'm not giving up on getting my bachelors; What really motivates me as a tutor right now is keeping my skills sharp while taking a gap year before going back to school in the future. As a certified K-12 Intervention Specialist, I help students at all levels improve fundamental skills and study skills in any subject. I also help college students at the undergrad and graduate levels with reading, writing and study skills.

4+ years of tutoring experience, all K-12 material is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. I have worked with a variety of ages, from kindergarten all the way to seniors in high school. I get to know each student individually as well as get to know their personal goals. I will provide quick, concise responses for those in a hurry, and slow, methodic teaching for those looking to understand the material on a deeper level. I worked as a teacher and tutor in New York City for 7 years before moving to Columbus in 2019. One of my favorite things about tutoring is staying with students over multiple years and watching them grow and change. I've had the privilege of seeing some students through graduation, and I love continuing to hear from them now that they're in college! I have an undergraduate degree in education from New York University and a Master's degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education. My speciality areas are reading/writing skills, English, and math through the middle-school years.
