I really enjoy tutoring students since it gives me a great sense of accomplishment. Not only did I graduate with honors in Spanish, but I am also a native speaker. Ive also tutored for serveral years. But knowing book Spanish is very different from a conversational Spanish. It needs to flow where it sounds natural, in the same manner when you speak English. My objective is for the student to experience tangible results and feel confident in their ability to converse in Spanish, even with a native speaker like myself.

I try to relate to the student as best as possible. Try and not make it seem like another teacher-student relationship to demean the student's performance. I want to give back to the environment that I work in.
