Hello! My name is Zara Ahsan, and I am a junior at UCLA getting my bachelor's in Physics. I tutored all throughout high school in Math, Science, and English, and have extensive experience working with K-12 students in my previous job as a climate justice educator and activist. Transitioning from a student in a struggling school district (Oakland Unified), to a physics major at UCLA was very hard, but it has taught me to be creative in the ways I learn, and compassionate to those with different skills sets. In my university course work, I go out of my way to make sure I understand physics and math intuitively and can explain back the concepts

I’m retired from teaching college for twenty-two years and then thirteen years of teaching homeless adults and people re-entering society from prison. I listen to students’ ideas, concerns, and complaints and take students’ seriously. We also have fun. My pedagogical methods (teaching style) are based on what each student needs.

We offer structured, individualized programs that ensure skills mastery and academic growth. Our students love coming to Tutoring Club to learn and to work with our incredible tutors. We LOVE our students. It is amazing to see their self-confidence grow as they master academic skills. Ultimately, we are thrilled to have helped so many students achieve their potentials in education.
