I have been tutoring and mentoring middle and high school as well as college students for over 10 years, both as a private tutor for academic subjects as well as an employee of an SAT prep company. I am returning to California after a pause in my recent PhD work, and will be resuming active tutoring after a hiatus. As a current college student I am always actively helping out friends or other students with their school work. I have always enjoyed helping students with their school work whether its in math or English concepts. I will want to get to know each student and help them with their current and future goals. I will take my time with students no matter if they are more on a slow or faster pace of learning so they get a clear understanding of concepts. My goal as a new tutor is to be able to make students enjoy their work and get them involved in their work so it becomes fun for them to do.

I have years of experience working with children and teaching my staff how to work with children. I have worked in schools to offer before and after school programs. I am a PEOPLE person. I am retired and have plenty of time to teach to a person's strengths. I have been tutoring since I was in grade school, and I've been paid for it since college. I was a VERY popular substitute teacher, and I have two & 1/2 college degrees. I am a permanent student because there's always something new to learn, and I LOVE learning.
