Hi! I’m Alister, an engineering student at Stanford University. I tutor math (grade K-12), physics & chemistry (high school), and language arts (grade K-8). I have four years of experience and love working with students to solidify understanding—once students truly grasp concepts, I find they start to really enjoy the subject. My tutoring style is flexible based on the students’ need.

I am a current student at De Anza College, working toward transferring to the University of California. As someone actively learning and studying, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in a clear and relatable way. My goal is to make learning less stressful and more enjoyable while helping you succeed academically.

I believe that the process of learning should be fun for both the student and the teacher, since if either party doesn't enjoy the lessons, there will be no effect. This is why I've chosen online tutoring in general, because it's easier to have more effective lessons one on one. I'm also an international physics olympiad winner, which comes with a lot of learning on my part as well, so I can confidently say I know the process well. Teaching gives me a special kind of satisfaction. Knowing that you've helped someone gain knowledge and understand something new is a really wonderful feeling....
