When it comes to tutoring experience, my area of expertise is math. While I have worked with students from grades 2 to 12 for the past 8 years, I have more experience working with middle and high school level students. I have tutored students in trigonometry, algebra, and geometry (without proofs). In case I need to review any of these topics, this is why Khan Academy exists.

Currently, I work onsite as a Literacy Specialist for Reading, Writing, Language Arts for grades TK-Grade 12. Previously I worked as a TK-5th grade elementary teacher in the classroom for all subjects Math, Reading, Writing, etc. During the weekdays and weekends, I also tutor for all elementary grade levels in all subjects. I am able to tutor in-person & online for Elementary, Middle, and High School students, surrounding the Los Angeles county areas and remotely across the nation. I am currently a 1st grade Educational Specialist that has taught general education and special education for elementary and middle school students. I was a behavior therapist for 20 years. My method to teaching is to use students' strengths to help them with their challenges. I enjoy adding games and music into my teaching process to maintain engagement.
