As a tutor, I try to give curriculum materials that support the child's needs, but also help them to advance in school by aligning to the school's challenging material or supporting the level of struggle that some grade levels carry in Common Core subjects. I tutor to support students in the long-term growth, not for short-term learning . I work to help students see progress in all their hard work practiced & expressed over time. I work with all different levels of students, from those who are struggling to pass a class to those who just need a little boost. I am good a communicating the concepts at the student's level. I have taught math for 22 years at the high school and college level.
