I am a recent graduate from Northwestern University. There, I got my major in Secondary Education with a concentration in History and a minor in Political Science. Many of my classes at college were about how to effectively teach middle to high school-aged students. I have been in the business of coaching and teaching kids for most of my adult life. Ever since I had kids I have been involved in their lives as a coach, a classroom volunteer, and through YMCA activities (camps and sports). In fact, the encouragement of so many parents convinced me to see what it would take to become a teacher. Many years after graduating from Stanford I began the teacher's credentialing process.
