I am a retired diplomat with service at U.S. embassies in Mexico, Pakistan, Spain, Fiji, Guatemala, and Britain. Prior to my career in the Foreign Service I tutored ESL to business people and diplomats working in New York. As a teacher at John Jay High School, I was awarded an Impact II grant for developing a tutoring program for at risk youth. My goal is to bring you to full professional competence in English with methods I learned at the State Department Foreign Service Institute. Those methods require a great deal of focused practice. We will begin with a conversation about your situation, your past, and your goals for the future.

Over 10 years experience. Trained in Prague/Praha at internationally-renowned The Language House with Chris Westergard and Chris Fox. I use the ESA or Engage, Study, Activate method to teach. My students in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Indonesia and Mexico absolutely LOVE my lesson plans. I'm super thorough and my support materials are awesome. One of my favorites is Comic Book Writing. My Indonesia teens asked me to do a lesson on EDM or Electronic Dance Music. They taught me! I also did a lesson on alphabets for students who came from a nearby island. I worked in groups at Summer camp in the Czech Republic to coordinate games,

My name is Ally and I’ve recently graduated from Arizona State University in Pharmacology and Toxicology. I have tutored my younger sister through all the past years of her education. PhD in Industrial Engineering, Mexican, Lived in Spain for 6 years. Spanish is a beautiful language, so wide that finding the right tutor can be treaky.
