The Writing Center is founded on the principle that reading and writing skills are fundamental to education. Most of the courses offered at the Writing Center are designed to train the student in a specific set of skills and/or essay type. All courses are lecture-based: that is, run like a classroom rather than a tutorial. However, all classes provide personalized feedback. As a current college student, I have experience working at a preschool for 3+ years and have been tutoring K-5 students for the past 2 years.
