Hello! My name is Nathan Maxfield. I am currently a student in ASU's History M.A. program. I graduated from BYU in 2022 with a B.A. in History and minors in Spanish and Latin American Studies. I have four years of experience teaching and tutoring history, Spanish, English, test prep, and writing, including two years of experience as a full time classroom instructor. I am extremely passionate about all the subjects I tutor, which is why I am working towards a career as a professor of history - where literature, culture, and language meet. I aim for my students to go beyond just academic success and discover a similar passion in themselves....

I was born and raised and educated in Mexico. I am a retired professor with extensive teaching experience and able to talk to people of various topics. I earned a doctoral degree at the University of Arizona. I’m currently a Masters student at ASU for Speech pathology. I was a teacher for five years. I worked in 4th grade and 8th grade. Throughout my time as a teacher, I offered after school tutoring for grades 3-6 and tutored for all ages during COVID.
