    Frequently asked questions

My process for working with a new student his to find out his or her needs in regards to learning Spanish. I like to give my new students a pre-test to inform of the students strengths and weaknesses.

I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in the Spanish language.

I have a standard price for lessons,$60 an hour. Students can take five hours of Spanish for $150

I got started teaching Spanish at Arizona State University. Now, I teach Spanish at South Mountain High School.

I have worked with college and high school students.

One recent event I am fond of is teaching my high school students how to carry on a conversation in the present and past tenses. They were very proud of themselves because they demonstrated mastery in their speaking ability.

The advice I would give the student is to hire a teacher that promotes student collaboration when planning speaking and writing skills. The teacher must give students the opportunity to practice the grammar skills in the four modalities: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Students must ask themselves, where I do need assistance, is it in speaking, reading, writing or listening skills? Also, what particular grammar point or part of speech am I having difficulty with, verb tense, adjectives or subject pronouns?
