Well I think what I love the most just a fact that I can change someone's day by helping them understand or a few things in a different way. It also feels awesome to help others.

How did you get started teaching?
when I attended NVC I did free 1:1 tutoring but sometimes it became like a group session. I began to help out inthe ELL program for adults who were beginning to or still trying to master English as a second language. From there I just started seeking other groups and with the help of my Spanish instructors I started to also tutor. people who are trying to learn Spanish as a second language.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have word all kinds of individuals with that being said I have worked with K through fifth grade populations. I have worked with sixth seventh and eighth graders , However, never with high schoolers. Lastly what I would consider adults at the community college. I have had to learn as well especially with individuals who struggled with dyslexia and ADHD.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
1) set some goals for your self preferably tomorrow preferably two or more.
2) you should feel comfortable within the setting whether it be online or in person.
3) how far are they willing to go, not only to make sure that you succeed but also so that they are able to meet your goals.
4) from personal experience for both educators and learners have plenty of patience and understanding because only with practice will you be able to learn the skills they are trying to acquire.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1)Well I think if you find someone that you connect with and they don't offer your subject don't be discouraged you should still ask you may be surprised!!
2)you should ask if they offer any free services for example I tend to offer free 15 maybe sometimes 30 minute zoom or phone language-based conversation for simple practice!
3) I know you have goals as a student but does your tutor/instructor have any goals in mind for you.
