I grew up with a learning disability and it took me a long time to learn to read and spell correctly. I'm dedicated to working with those who find reading and writing difficult but still want to learn how to communicate well in the world. In terms of education I hold a BA in History and Religion and a MFA in creative writing.

My name is Sarah Schmitz, and I have been teaching for 3.5 years. I graduated from UW-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education. I’ve worked with students from 4k-8th during the school years and summers. I currently work at a middle school for reading intervention to help serve students who are below grade level.
