About
I have master degree in Biochemistry with Molecular Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics as major courses. I have 6+ years of overall experience in both teaching and research fields. Some of my key accomplishments include:
· Mentoring at the college level students and guiding them in the field of immunology and molecular research projects and facilitating to organize and maintain a research lab. Trained professional students, nurses, and lab technicians on proper aseptic lab procedures, laboratory animals handling. Implementing varied teaching methods like project-based learning, group activities, online teaching.
· Completed research work on "Molecular characterization of TLR9, TNF-alpha genes from Total RNA using two-step RT-PCR and their gene expression by detecting the downstream signaling proteins like Ik-B alpha, TNF-alpha, ERK, NF-kB from the cell lysate and nuclear extract using SDS-PAGE followed by WESTERN BLOT" and published part of this work with the title
· “Bacterial DNA Induced TNF-α Expression in Buffaloes (Murrah) in Comparison to that of CrossBreed Cattle”. March 2013 in the “Journal of Buffalo Science” P. Nisha, J. Thanislass, P.X. Antony, H.K. Mukhopadhyay, K.V. Subba Reddy(2013 , Vol 2, pg 8-11)
· Performed various immunology diagnosis test like Immunodiffusion test, Agar gel plate immunodiffusion, IPT, counter- immunoelectrophoresis, ELISA, Dot-ELISA and also supervised these techniques.
· DNA, RNA and protein isolations from cell culture, blood, fresh & frozen tissues.
· Presented poster on “Predicted protein structure of TLR4 gene” in an international conference and awarded as the best presentation. (Detailed analysis of protein structure, its interactions, conformations of amino acids were done using bioinformatics tools like CLUSTALW, FASTA, SWISS-MODEL, 3DMEMSAT, SignalP, SPIDER2, PREDATOR, PredictProtein etc)
· Performed PBMCs cell cultures, Primary tissue culture, propagation of primary stem cell, cell lines, and sub-culturing. Primary tissue culture from lamb kidney for FMD virus detection and identification of viral antigen by ELISA, CFT in the disease diagnostic/ investigation center for Livestock diseases, RAGACOVAS.
· Presented projects on protein isolation, filtration and purification techniques.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Firstly, to understand student's need in a specific subject and evaluating them in order to estimate their current level and targets to improve within specified timelines.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as an Assistant Professor in a professional college for a year and 4 years of hands on experience in microbiology and biotech labs.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $20 per hour for elementary and high school students and $25 for university students. I teach subjects like Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology and other science subjects as per students requirement.
What types of students have you worked with?
Professional med school students
