Hi, my name is Rita and I have been enjoying tutoring for many years. I have and continue tutoring K-12 students in subjects like math, reading, writing, science, SAT, test preparations etc. I take teaching as a challenge and will find different ways to teach until the student understands it, because we all learn differently and I don't believe in one teaching method fits all. I have worked with students with different needs like getting ahead in grade level, with IEPs, short term or long term. My name is Callum Russell, and I am an engineering student at Skagit Valley College pursuing an Associate of Science in Engineering with a 3.85 GPA. I will transfer to the University of Washington to complete a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering with a mathematics minor. My coursework includes the full mathematics sequence through differential equations, engineering physics, statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, chemistry, and English composition, along with additional math, science, and humanities classes throughout high school and college. I am a recent graduate from the University of Washington, Masters in Elementary Teaching Program. I am certified to teach all subjects K-8 with an endorsement in ELL teaching. I am fluent in Spanish and spent my student teaching in dual-language schools teaching K and 4th grade. I have also been helping middle school aged students (6th-8th) in their academic schoolwork. My goal as a tutor is to help my students and their families see tangible results while also making the curriculum fun and inviting while using inclusive methods of teaching.
