With a Master’s in CS and Math from the University of Washington and over a decade in the tech world. I’m passionate about helping high school kids who feel lost in subjects like Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, or Statistics—I’ve got a knack for turning confusion into ‘aha!’ moments. I also prep students for AP exams (AP Computer Science Principles and AP CSA) and tutor Chemistry, Physics and Biology, both AP and general, making tough topics click with clear, patient explanations. Reviews for Kirkland history tutors

Recent success stories from people in the Kirkland area.
Macy L.
My situation was unique. I had serious epileptic seizures during high school resulting in multiple brain surgeries and a long, challenging recovery. Matt entered my life during this time; I still had assignments to complete before graduation and an impending SAT exam, so I met with Matt twice a week and learned the essential concepts of writing and reading comprehension. While math was my strong suit, Matt helped me identify some earlier math concepts that needed refreshing. My initial SAT score prior to my relationship with Matt was 1260, but, after tutoring, I received a 1510 and was accepted by my school of choice for pre-med studies. I continue to meet with Matt two or three times per week during my undergraduate studies for more advanced writing strategies. I cannot imagine a better academic mentor than I have found with Matt.

Kate is a dedicated educator and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She has been tutoring my second grader in both reading and math for several months and her tailored approach has significantly improved his skills and confidence in each subject. Kate fosters a positive learning environment, making the sessions enjoyable for my son while still remaining focused on achieving academic progress. I am truly grateful for the impact she has made on my child’s education!
