About
I have over 15 years of combined experience in education, special education, student support services, and educational leadership. Throughout my career, I have worked directly with students, families, and school systems to support academic achievement, individualized learning, and educational success.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Human Services Counseling, a Master's degree in Special Education, and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Exceptional Education.
• Special Education Teacher (6 years)
• Educational Diagnostician
• Specialist in Curriculum and Special Education
• Assistant Principal (Elementary and High School)
• 3rd–5th Grade Math Tutor
• Advanced Placement (AP) College Board Coordinator
• School Test Coordinator (STC II)
I have extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, executive functioning challenges, and academic skill deficits.
I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths, build confidence, and reach their full academic potential. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student overcome challenges, gain self-confidence, and develop the skills needed to become an independent learner. I enjoy partnering with families to create positive learning experiences that foster both academic growth and personal success.
My unique combination of experience as a special educator, educational diagnostician, curriculum specialist, school administrator, and counselor allows me to understand students from multiple perspectives. Rather than providing one-size-fits-all tutoring, I develop individualized strategies tailored to each student's unique learning style, strengths, challenges, and educational goals.
I bring both instructional expertise and a deep understanding of special education services, assessments, accommodations, and interventions, enabling me to provide comprehensive support that extends beyond traditional tutoring.
My tutoring approach is individualized, strengths-based, and evidence-informed. I specialize in:
• Special Education Support
• Academic Intervention
• Executive Functioning Skills
• Study and Organizational Skills
• Learning Disability Support
• Reading and Math Skill Development
• IEP and Accommodation Support
• Test Preparation and Academic Confidence Building
I use multi-sensory instructional strategies, scaffolded learning techniques, data-driven progress monitoring, and positive reinforcement to help students achieve measurable academic growth while building confidence and independence.
Elementary, middle, and high school students, including those receiving special education services, accommodations under Section 504 and IEP, or additional academic support.
