I am a jazz musician who performs around the DMV. Most recently I performed 2 times this year at Blues Alley. I have produced and performed internationally.
I teach piano using jazz theory. You learn will learn: scales, chords, improvisation, and how to apply them to the standards.
I also teach music production using Apple Logic X.
I am enthusiastic. I love working with people, and I enjoy the topics I am offering to tutor on. Enthusiasm in a teacher is something I have found important in my own learning. I just recently graduated from high school, and the classes I felt the most engaged in were the classes with teachers who were passionate about their lessons. Bringing energy and excitement is important to keep a lesson interesting.
I am also looking to learn through this experience. I want to adapt to the student's learning style. Being able to share knowledge and help others is such a special gift. I would like to give back what I can.
