Walker Music Tutoring
About
I'll graduate with an education degree this Spring. My emphasis is on music education, and I've taught private piano and harp lessons for over 5 years. Recently, I've been teaching small group theory lessons at Utah Piano Conservatory.
I love music theory and composition, and helping musicians- young and old- grow and develop!
Whether it's beginning music theory, early composition, AP music theory, or collegiate level theory skills, I look forward to working with you.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For elementary and middle school aged students, I charge $10 for every 30 minute session.
For High School and College aged students, I charge $15 for every 30 minute session.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been teaching private music instruction in piano and harp since 2014, and have since been pursuing a degree in music education at Brigham Young University. I have been teaching small group theory classes at Utah Piano Conservatory while working on my degree, and am excited to graduate next spring!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from age 4, to age 17. I'm open to taking students of any age.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would recommend that students think about, and discuss an end goal with their teacher. Whether it's composing a piece, passing the AP music theory test, or simply being able to analyze what they're working on in other music lessons, it's good to have a goal to work toward.
