Hello, I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher and tutor with over 17 years of experience working with children in grades K through 5. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in TESOL. I've been privileged to work with children who have various needs, from ADHD, autism, dysgraphia, second language learners and gifted and talented. With lots of patience, love, and sound pedagogical practices, I've seen each of my students thrive both academically and emotionally.. I love math, and I love that it's everywhere (even in the VANS logo ;)) I've tutored math since college, got my degree in math/stats education from Utah State University with a GPA of 3.92. I taught formally at a high school for 6 years (everything from Math 3 to AP BC Calculus to CE Statistics). During my time teaching in Ogden at a Title I school, my AP Calc program tripled in size and we increased the pass rate to 90% (well above the national and Utah averages). I am so proud of them!
