Islamic Studies

I have been teaching Islam in various study groups whether advanced or basic like reading the Qur'an in Arabic. Also, I have attended many retreats as a lecturer of the classical Islamic sciences like Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Hadith (teachings of Prophet Muhammad) and Tafsir (Quranic commentary). If you're interested we can study Islamic mysticism or more properly Tasawwuf (Sufism) as well.

I have been a learner and educator pretty much all my life. Since my high school years I loved learning new words and languages. I have a BA in Islamic Theology and have also taken some graduate courses in Catholic studies. Putting my knowledge into practice, I served in hospital, prison, church, public/private schools and university settings with a wide array of people.
