After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University. During my career, I have worked with students of various ages, from pre-k to 12th grade. My name is Colm Murphy, currently I am a high school junior in a dual credit college program with a weighted GPA of 4.12. I usually lean more towards reading and writing prep, along with social studies. I have a lot of experience in social studies, I’ve currently taken AP Human Geography in which I got a 5 on the AP test, I’ve also taken College US History where I got 100s across the board. In addition, I am currently taking Dual credit Government along with the Gov AP test and Dual Credit English. I think I’d be a good help to any younger students in need of assistance.

I am Pam or Ms. Pam. I taught grades 10-12 for 30 yrs. I now tutor mainly HS students along with college students.
