After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.

My name is Colm Murphy, currently I am a high school junior in a dual credit college program with a weighted GPA of 4.12. I usually lean more towards reading and writing prep, along with social studies. I have a lot of experience in social studies, I’ve currently taken AP Human Geography in which I got a 5 on the AP test, I’ve also taken College US History where I got 100s across the board. I am a recent graduate from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor, with a Pre-Medical major with a concentration in Honors. I have 2+ years in tutoring experience, and while in college, I worked as a General Chemistry , Biochemistry, and General Chemistry, lab/teaching assistant.
