I’ve been a teacher for over ten years. I’ve taught different grade levels and all subjects. I focus on helping students set and achieve academic goals. I make lessons engaging and interesting, focusing on student progress and success. I really love helping students learn to read or improve their reading and writing.

I hold a Texas Teaching Certificate in ESL and a Certificate for Leadership. I began teaching 1990 and have experience as at the elementary and secondary levels.

I am dedicated to my students and their work. My ultimate goal is for them to grow and progress in any academic area. I find it an honor to be able to provide a student with the ability to become an independent learner because, at the end of the day, a good tutor is one who helps their students gain the tools needed for self-learning. I enjoy seeing students grow not only in the specific subject I am tutoring them in but as an individual as well.
